A.J. Davidson and Company records
A.J. Davidson and Company was a Helena and Butte, Montana firm, dealing primarily in wagons, saddles, furs, and hay. This collection consists of business records (1889-1897), including sales books, ledgers, indexes to accounts, and a journal.
Bach, Cory and Company records
Bach, Cory and Company was a Marysville, Gloster and Empire, Montana Territory, mercantile business. These records consists of financial records from the Marysville store (1879-1887), the Empire store (1887-1888) and the Gloster store (1885-1888). Also included is an informal docket (1887-1888) of cases involving Bach, Cory and Co.
Brady Mercantile Company records
The Brady Mercantile Company, owned by T.N. Quamme and his son Gilmore Quamme, was located in Brady, Montana. This collection (1910-1950) contains correspondence, financial records, and inventories of the company. In addition there are subgroups for Gilmore Quamme's insurance business; for T.N. Quamme's legislative files (1931, 1933); and for the Pondera County Emergency Relief Committee.

Simeon R. Buford was a Virginia City, Montana, merchant, stage line operator, and rancher. Papers include incoming correspondence (1872-1911) and outgoing correspondence (1878-1906) concerning his various business enterprises, and with family and friends. In addition, there are financial records (1872-1912), legal documents (1879-1903), and other records. There are subgroups for Buford's political activities (1886-1904), for his brother C.H. Buford (1884-1909).
Philip Constans papers
Philip Constans was a Unionville, Montana Territory, merchant and postmaster. This collection consists of twenty daybooks (1869-1886), and four indexed ledgers (1869-1877) of Constans' Unionville store. Also included are several post office receipts and registers (1869-1881).

L. Auerbach and Brother was a wholesale and retail store in Helena, Montana Territory, specializing in notions, liquor, cigars, etc. The firm was owned by Leopold Auerbach and his brother William Jacob Auerbach. Records (1868-1880) include a letterpress book of outgoing correspondence, ledgers, cash sales books, daybooks, journals, inventories, etc. There is also one cash book (1878-1879) for Auerbach, Wells and Company.
