California Mining Company records (1893) consists of a letter from CA Mining Co (Castle, MT) secretary N.E. Benson addressed to T.P. Bowman, banker in Helena, MT informing his Mr. Benson will pay the banker the money he owed him, but it will be in the future, not the present. Letter offers some insight into silver mining operations following the Panic of 1893 and the continued depreciation in the value of silver during the time.

Taylor Gordon was a Black singer and author who grew up in White Sulphur Springs, Montana. Collection (1882-1980) includes letters, writings, financial records, and clippings for Taylor; his sister Rose Gordon, a White Sulphur Springs business woman and physical therapist; and other members of the Gordon family; the Florence Mining Company; and the Democratic party in Montana.
