Montana Commission On Post-secondary Education Records
The Montana Commission on Post-Secondary Education was created by the 1973 Legislative Assembly to study the needs and status of post-secondary education in Montana. Records include agendas, correspondence, news releases, reports, a subject file on Montana State University (Bozeman), and public hearings statements.
Montana Commission On Reorganization Of State Government records
The Montana Commission on Reorganization of State Government was an investigatory commission appointed by Governor John W. Bonner, to determine possible structures for the state government of Montana. Records include minutes (1951-1953); correspondence with state boards and agencies; and minutes, research files, and reports of the various task forces set up by the commission. (Same as SMF 27, but records were rearranged sometime after filming.)

Records (1971-1979) include Commissioner Lawrence Pettit's correspondence, organizational materials, press releases, speeches, subject files, and legislative files; and a report (1977) by the Board of Education reviewing the work of the commissioner, including his response. Artifacts, photographs, and printed material have been transferred to the Museum, Photograph Archives, and Library respectively. Reel-to-reel tapes were deaccessioned and destroyed.
