Bower Brothers Sheep Company records
The Bower Brothers Sheep Company, located near Stanford, Montana, was one of the largest sheep operation in Montana. The owners, Authur Bower, Edward Bower, and Calvin Bower, operated the firm from 1880 to 1907. This collection (1880-1907) consists of correspondence; a land book; and two volumes listing number of sheep, losses, purchases, sales, pounds of wool, pelts sold, and the name of the herder.

The Brady Mercantile Company, owned by T.N. Quamme and his son Gilmore Quamme, was located in Brady, Montana. This collection (1910-1950) contains correspondence, financial records, and inventories of the company. In addition there are subgroups for Gilmore Quamme's insurance business; for T.N. Quamme's legislative files (1931, 1933); and for the Pondera County Emergency Relief Committee.

The collection (1898-1931) includes outgoing correspondence, financial records, and subject files relating to the operation of the two businesses.

The collection (1897-1922) consists primarily of letterpress volumes of outgoing correspondence and a stock certificate book.
