Content Description
Two black and white photographic prints with views of two men identified as Murphy and Hichen along with a dog named Major at the American Flag Mine site near Elliston, Montana. First view is of both men standing on either side of an ore cart at the mine shaft opening for the American Flag Mine, Major the dog is seated on the cart. The second view is of the men sitting on either side of the door to a crude log cabin, Major the dog sits in a chair to the left.

Photographs collected by Rosa "Belle" St. Martin (later Bowman) of Minneapolis, Minnesota and removed from an album prior to donation.
