Biographical / Historical
Kuphal and Leopold was a general mercantile store operating in Helena, Montana Territory, from 1886 to 1890. Owned by Frederick William Kuphal and Bernhart Leopold, the store sold groceries, wine, liquor, and cigars from its main store in the International Hotel building, and later from 103 South Main Street.
