    Andrew S. Shannon papers (1898) written to D. Pratt in Billings, MT informing him of the Alaska Klondike Gold Rush conditions in Skagway, AK and Lake Merchant. Mr. Shannon lays out his business plan for setting up shop selling goods in the region including his plan to transport goods overland. Also included is a transcript of the letter and a brief biographical note for Andrew Shannon.
