James Sanks Brisbin papers
James Brisbin, a Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, native, served as an Army officer in the Civil War and the Indian Wars, 1868-1891. He was stationed at Fort Ellis, Fort Assiniboine, Fort Custer, Montana Territory, and many other western forts. Brisbin was also a writer and publicist. The collection contains a small amount of correspondence (1860-1890), and writings (1850-1891) concerning the Army, the Indian Wars, the West, and Montana Territory.
John H. Ming papers
John H. Ming (1831-1887) was a Helena, Montana Territory, rancher and theater owner. Collection includes family correspondence (1859-1887); financial records (1852-1887); legal documents (1852-1895); subject files about Ming's Opera House and the Park Ditch Company; and subgroup for Katherine Cole Ming. [Ming's papers include papers of his Estate.]

The Park Saddle Horse Company, owned by Wilbur N. Noffsinger and later by George W. Noffsinger, was a concession in Glacier National Park, Montana. Records (1915-1947) include financial and horse-raising records, subject files, organizational papers, diaries (1933-1947) of George Noffsinger; and subgroups for the W.N. Noffsinger Company, the Big Draw Land and Stock Company, and the Big Draw Sheep Company.
