Frances Logan Merriam Papers
Frances Merriam (b. 1899) served as the Executive Secretary of the Committee for Paradise Dam, an organization that promoted the construction of the Paradise and Knowles dams in western Montana. Papers (1948-1972) consist primarily of subject files and correspondence concerning the dams and her work in the Montana Democratic Party.

Mignon Waterman papers
This collection consists of records collected and created by Mignon Waterman prior to, during, and after her time as a Senator in the Montana state legislature (1990-2002), and includes correspondence, financial records, subject files, miscellany, and clippings. Also included are VHS tapes of television spots made for Senator Waterman's congressional campaign in 1996.
Miller Brothers, Inc. Records
Miller Brothers, Inc. was a Chinook, Cleveland, and Lloyd, Montana, sheep and cattle ranch operated by Henry G. Miller, his brother Chris D. Miller, and G.T. "Ted" Westin, son-in-law of Chris Miller. Records (1894-1966) include general correspondence, court papers, legal documents, and financial records documenting the operation of the ranch; and materials on the First National Bank of Chinook, which the Millers helped organize in 1909.
James H. Mills Papers
James Miller (1837-1904) edited the Virginia City Montana Post; founded the Deer Lodge New Northwest; and served as Montana Territorial Secretary and State Commissioner of Agriculture, Labor, and Industry. Collection contains a reminiscence; twenty diaries (1862-1904); and miscellaneous materials concerning Mills' service in the Civil War with the Pennsylvania Infantry, his trip to Montana, politics, and life in Helena, Virginia City, and Deer Lodge.
Milner Cattle Company records
The Milner ranch was located near Fort Benton, Montana, by Milton E. Milner. After his death in 1913 the ranch was incorporated as the Milner Cattle Company. Records (1913-1933) consist of two volumes of incorporation papers, bylaws, stockholder and directors minutes, and financial reports.
Mines and Mining in Montana photograph collection
This collection consists of views of Montana placer mining, hard rock mines and mills, coal mines, and kilns primarily between the years 1867 – 1920. Well-represented are early views of placer mining in Alder Gulch and in the Rimini mining district, larger-scale hard rock mining in the Marysville mining district, and mines and smelters in Butte. The collection also includes views of coal mining operations in Carbon, Fergus, Gallatin, Park, Powder River, and Sheridan counties.

John H. Ming (1831-1887) was a Helena, Montana Territory, rancher and theater owner. Collection includes family correspondence (1859-1887); financial records (1852-1887); legal documents (1852-1895); subject files about Ming's Opera House and the Park Ditch Company; and subgroup for Katherine Cole Ming. Ming's Opera House records
Ming's Opera House was a Helena, Montana, theater and variety house, built by John H. Ming in 1880. Records include incoming and outgoing correspondence (1898-1902) of Receiver Eugene T. Wilson concerning the booking of programs including minstrel shows, comedies, hypnotists, operas, burlesque, etc.; account journals (1891-1893) for theater productions; receipt books (1900-1901); licenses (1900-1901); and miscellany.
