William Ford was a White Sulphur Springs, Montana, lawyer and Meagher County attorney. Carl Linn joined Ford's law office in 1912, and was elected Meagher County attorney the same year. Collection (1900-1920, 1948, undated) contains correspondence, subject files, and miscellany.

Abstract

Taylor Gordon was a Black singer and author who grew up in White Sulphur Springs, Montana. Collection (1882-1980) includes letters, writings, financial records, and clippings for Taylor; his sister Rose Gordon, a White Sulphur Springs business woman and physical therapist; and other members of the Gordon family; the Florence Mining Company; and the Democratic party in Montana.

Abstract Anton M. Holter (1831-1921) was a pioneer Helena, Montana, lumberman and founder of the A.M. Holter Hardware Company. Papers (1831-1921) include correspondence, and organizational and financial records relating to mining, agriculture, lumber, real estate, and oil interests of three generations of the family, headed successively by Anton M. The Jumbo Mining and Development Company was a gold mining operation near White Sulphur Springs, Montana. Records (1890-1956) include minutes, bylaws, stock certificates and transfers. Also there are limited amounts of incoming correspondence and financial records. An account book includes a brief history of the company.
