Philip Richmond Barbour Papers
Kate Hammond Fogarty Papers
Kate Fogarty was a Montana author and assistant librarian at the Butte, Public Library. Her papers consist of research notes on the history of the Summit Valley Mining District, Montana Territory, including the names of mines of the district, date of location, and names of locators and owners. Also included are writings on the history of Butte, the Highland Mining District, and on a visit to the site of Fort Union.
Fullerton (Neil) papers
The Neil Fullerton Collection (1932-1968) consists primarily of research data collected by Neil Fullerton concerning the location of Saleesh House, the travels of early explorer David Thompson, the Nez Perce trek of 1877, Indian missions, the naming of local western Montana communities such as Thompson Falls, the early U.S. Forest Service, exploration and the fur trade in the Northwest, and northern Idaho.
Charles Kuhlman Research Collection : Battle of the Little Big Horn
Charles Kuhlman (1873-1959) was a sugar beet farmer and amateur historian from Billings, Montana. Papers consist of general correspondence (1936-1959) concerning his research into the Battle of the Little Big Horn (1876) and George Armstrong Custer; drafts of his writings; miscellany; and clippings. Many of the letters also reflect his farming business and his interest in foreign policy.
Oscar O. Mueller Research Collection : Central Montana History
Oscar Mueller (1877-1964) was a Lewistown, Montana, attorney and amateur historian. Collection consists of primary and secondary research materials on Central Montana history, including papers of James Fergus, concerning ranching; and Mueller's correspondence, writings, research notes, and subject files on the Judith Basin.
Herbert M. Peet Research Collection
Herbert Peet (1892-1959) was a Great Falls, Montana, newspaperman and amateur historian. Collection consists of research notes on Montana history copied from various sources; clippings; history articles; and Peet's writings, including a manuscript on Governor Samuel T. Hauser and a day-to-day chronicle of Hauser's career.

U.S. Work Projects Administration records
These records (1935-1943) of the U.S. Work Projects Administration (WPA) in Montana consist of administrative materials; historic record surveys of county, state, and federal agencies and local service and church organizations; and writers' project materials, including correspondence, research files, interviews with pioneers, and drafts of articles and books including Copper Camp, Land of Nakoda, and Montana Almanac, 1941.
