Abstract This collection is a subgroup (Former Board) of the Montana Department of Corrections records. The Montana Mental Health Advisory Council was established under the Governor's Office in 1974 by House Joint Resolution 66. In 1977, the Council was transferred to the Department of Institutions (predecessor agency to Corrections) by executive order. The Council ceased to exist on July 1, 1979.
