A.J. Davidson and Company was a Helena and Butte, Montana firm, dealing primarily in wagons, saddles, furs, and hay. This collection consists of business records (1889-1897), including sales books, ledgers, indexes to accounts, and a journal.

Patrick J. Brophy papers
Patrick Brophy was a Butte, Montana, Wholesale and retails grocery dealer, with interests in mining development. The collection (1897-1922) consists primarily of letterpress volumes of outgoing correspondence and a stock certificate book. Brophy's letters discuss both his personal interests and investments, and those of his firm, P.J. Brophy and Co.

Simeon R. Buford was a Virginia City, Montana, merchant, stage line operator, and rancher. Papers include incoming correspondence (1872-1911) and outgoing correspondence (1878-1906) concerning his various business enterprises, and with family and friends. In addition, there are financial records (1872-1912), legal documents (1879-1903), and other records. There are subgroups for Buford's political activities (1886-1904), for his brother C.H. Buford (1884-1909).

Corette and Corette was a Butte, Montana, law firm that was owned and operated by John E. Corette, Sr., and his two sons John E. Corette, Jr., and Robert D. Corette. This collection consists of twenty-four volumes of outgoing correspondence (1915-1916, 1930-1949).
Barclay Craighead Papers
Barclay Craighead served as secretary to U.S. Senator Burton K. Wheeler, secretary of the Wheeler for President Club, secretary of the Montana Democratic State Central Committee, director of the Federal Housing Administration in Helena, and as chairman of the Unemployment Compensation Commission of Montana. This collection (1924-1949) consists of correspondence, writings, clippings, printed materials, photographs, and miscellany relating to Craighead's various positions.
Edmund B. Craney papers
Edmund Craney was a pioneer in Montana radio broadcasting. He was affiliated with Pacific Northwest Broadcasting; XL radio stations of Spokane, Portland, Butte, Bozeman, and Missoula; and the Z Bar network. This collection (1920-1970) consists of correspondence, financial records, subject files, printed materials, yearbooks, clippings, and legal documents.
First National Bank Of Helena Records
The First National Bank of Helena, Montana, was organized by Samuel T. Hauser and T.H. Kleinschmidt, in 1866. Prominent officers included: John S. Atkinson, D.C. Corbin, and E.W. Knight, cashiers; George H. Hill, assistant cashier. The bank was in receivership from its closing in 1896 until 1903. Records (1865-1903) include correspondence, financial volumes, legal documents, and organizational records of the bank and of its receiver, Eugene S. Wilson.
