Abstract

The Black Pine Silver Mines, Inc. was a silver mining company in the Philipsburg, Montana, area. Records (1924, 1932-1942, 1946) include general correspondence, financial records, court papers, legal documents, and miscellany. Also included are records from the predecessor company, the Black Pine Mines, Inc., and a smaller subgroup for Combination Silver Mines, Inc., which bought the Black Pine property in 1936. The Goodhope Mining Company was a silver mining company located in Philipsburg, Montana. Records consist of interoffice correspondence (1902-1908) with home office in St. Louis; general correspondence (1903-1907); minor financial records and legal documents (1902-1903); annual reports (1903-1904) to the Secretary of State; assay and bullion reports (1902-1907); weekly reports (1902-1905, 1907) of agent John R. Lucas; and miscellany.
