Scope and Contents From the Collection: The collection contains photographs of Burton K. Wheeler (1882-1975), as well as his wife and children, and photographs taken during Wheeler's political career, mainly when he served as a United States Senator from Montana from 1923 until 1946. Of particular interest are photographs taken in 1928 when Wheeler was a member of a senate committee investigating a coal miners' strike in Pennsylvania.
