Monthly financial ledgers created by Catherine Taylor from c. 1948 - 1983 for the members of the Taylor family, including: Catherine Dorothy Hauck Taylor, her husband John Baker Taylor, and their daughters: Elsie M. Taylor, Dora C. Taylor, and Ellen Jean Taylor Murray. Ledgers include monthly income and expenditures, monthly budgets, taxes, records of various types of insurance, records of expenses for real estate renovation and/or upkeep, vehicle titles, war bond amounts and maturation dates, listings of financial assets such as silver, jewelry, and real estate, and similar financial holdings and/or accounts.

HISTORICAL NOTE

Catherine Hauck Taylor, daughter of Laurence Hauck, a banker and businessman, and Dora C. Hauck, was born in Philipsburg Montana on September 1901. She graduated from the University of Montana, and married John B. Taylor from Missoula, MT in 1926. Together they had three daughters: Elsie Margaret, Dora Catherine, and Ellen Jean. She passed away on June 11, 1986.
