Biographical / Historical

The non-profit Child Care Coordinating Council (4C) of Greater Helena Inc. was established in 1971. The organization provided services for children and families (particularly low-income families), including supporting day cares, foster care, child care, public awareness programs, as well as helping to reduce or eliminate child abuse or neglect. 4C also provided workshops and training for day care operators or parents with young children. By 1977, the Helena chapter of the 4C’s program was the largest in the state of Montana. In 1985, the 4C of Greater Helena dissolved.
