Summary

In this interview J. L. Van Horn (b.1913) discusses growing up in a sheep ranching family in South Dakota; taking a position to work for Montana State University's Animal Science Department; his career studying sheep as an animal and science researcher for Montana State University; research related primarily to nutrition for range sheep with some work in reproduction; helping to develop supplements that provide high protein to sheep. John Paugh was a student of Mr. Van Horne. He also is an animal researcher at MSU. (OH 2099).
