Thomas F. Mitchell Montanan Baseball Leagues Scrapbook. Collection consists of one scrapbook with news clippings from Montana newspapers, photographs from Missoula and Helena Baseball teams during the 1920s and 1930s. Baseball ephemera from the areas during the time, an assortment of membership cards from national and regional organizations for Thomas F. Mitchell, newsclippings featuring family members wedding announcements and obituaries. Also includes news clippings from major regional and national events from the 1920s through 1945.

Biographical Note
Thomas Franklin Mitchell was born in Missoula, MT on January 6, 1904 to Thomas A Mitchell and Margrett J. Mitchell (nee Cass). Thomas played baseball for a number of teams in both Missoula and Helena including the Missoula Mint and the Helena Sheehans. He umpired for the Helena Sheehans after retiring from baseball. He maried Hope I Beebe on March 8 1933 in Missoula. They had one daughter, Patsy Ann. Thomas worked for the Great Norther Railroad as a railroad detective. In November 1950 he sufferred a heart attack in Missoula and passed away.
