Historical Note
Victoria Mines Inc. was incorporated in March 1937. In 1940 the company was headed by John T. Potts of Salt Lake City, with Sherman H. Hinckley as local manager. The company operated several gold mines in the Silver Star area, including the Broadway, Hudson, and Victoria claims, as well as leasing the Buckeye. The company also built a cyanide plant.
