Biographical / Historical
The Helena Business and Professional Women's Club formed in 1931 as a local club within the Montana Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs. The National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, later known as the American Business Women's Association, is dedicated to serving the needs of women working in all facets of business, including professionals, the self-employed, or those working in government, retailing, manufacturing, or service industries. The services provided seek to promote opportunities for businesswomen to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership training, education, professional contacts, and national recognition for women's accomplishments. The Helena Business and Professional Women's Club earliest activities centered on educational and social events. They also provided various services for the community of Helena, including the sponsorship of program to provide eye glasses for needy families in the Helena. The group raised money to pay for ophthalmologist visits and eye ware. The group is currently dedicated to

Abstract
The Helena Business and Professional Women’s Club was formed in 1931 as a local club within District II of the Montana Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club. This collection consists of financial records (1960s-1970s) including two journals, banking records, bills & receipts, dues receipts, and treasurers reports; organizational records (1960s-1970s) including scattered minutes, membership lists, and procedures manuals; and miscellaneous records (1960s-1970s) including scrapbooks, year books, sheet music for "Woman Awake", and convention and monthly meeting programs.
