Records consist of general correspondence of Joseph K. Toole's two administrations (1889-1892 and 1901-1905), J.E. Rickards administration (1893-1896), and Robert Burns Smith's administration (1897-1900). The correspondence with individual constituents, organizations, and government agencies, is arranged alphabetically. There are also a few speeches by Toole.
