Scope and Contents
Collection includes the annual message from the Governor; general correspondence; bills re the construction of Lewis and Clark County courthouse, the establishment of Valley County, and organizing and regulating the militia (National Guard); members' financial accounts; reports to the Legislature by the Orphan's Asylum, the Penitentiary, and the World's Fair Commission; and petitions (re gambling, county boundaries, liquor education, licensing of salesmen and photographers, Sunday closings, and school textbook selection); and rules of the Council.)
