Scope and Contents
The collection includes the minutes of the House Select Committee appointed to investigate matters relating to the Fish and Game department, the Select Committee Appointed to Study the Activities of the Board of Equalization and its Relation with the County Commissioner Association, and the Select Committee Appointed to Study the Expenditures of the Montana Territorial Centennial Commission; reports of the House Interim Air Pollution Investigating Study Committee, on the number of assistants in the Governor's Office, salary of Hunter Martin, Fish and Game Commission appropriation for the Centennial Commission, and duties of the bills clerk ; minutes of House and Senate standing committees; and House and Senate bills, resolutions, memorials, joint resolutions and memorials. The collection also contains miscellany material including list of House standing committees; exhibit titled "Montana's Petroleum Industry: A Brief History and Resume of Conditions..." by Eldon Davenport; and a speech given by Governor Babcock to the Joint Session on long-range building program for state educational and custodial institutions.
