Ron Marlenee, 1985-1990

 File — box-folder: 1 / 4

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection (bulk 1966-1988) pertains to Conwell F. Robinson, and particularly the legal issue regarding the condemnation of his family’s property in Glacier National Park by the U.S. government in 1967. It primarily contains correspondence and subject files, in addition to several legal documents, such as special use permits and a land patent. Much of the correspondence is between either Robinson or his attorneys (Browning, Kaleczyc, Berry, & Hoven, P.C.), various legislators (including Max Baucus, John Melcher, Ron Marlenee, etc.), and the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Parks Division. Subject files mostly concern condemnation, the private relief bill submitted to the legislature, and Glacier National Park inholders.
