These letters are organized as incoming, outgoing, and general (incoming and outgoing attached) correspondence. There is also some miscellaneous correspondence, that is, letters neither to nor from Burrell, including business correspondence of the American Developing and Mining Company. In addition, there are legal documents, financial records, court papers, and descriptions of various mines with which Burrell was affiliated.
