Materials relating to the activities of Jim Murry, Executive Secretary of the Montana State AFL-CIO; includes primarily political correspondence, newspapers, organizational materials (constitutions and by-laws), published materials, biographical information, oversized posters/plaques, photographs, etc. Subjects mostly pertain to AFL-CIO activities, the activities of various unions, political issues (including issues of Civil Rights) and more. Date range ca. 1956-2015. Annual Convention Yearbooks (1990, 1991, 1992) were transferred to the library. Strike sign for Painters Local 975 transferred to Museum. Materials added in October 2023 consist of correspondence, memorandums, legal documents, and newsletters related to political issues and court cases involving MT AFL-CIO or its affiliates. Date range of accreted materials approx. 1970-2007.
